DISTRICT LEVEL COMMITMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS: 1) Personnel (Facilitators) committed to facilitate and support SWPBS. A. Itinerant staff to serve as facilitators who have expertise and responsibilities regarding discipline, supporting student behavior, interventions, and/or FBA/BPs (e.g., Safe & Drug Free Schools, Coordinators, school psychologists, etc.).
2) School Level Administration/Principal will commit to SWPBS efforts as demonstrated by supporting: A. School level leadership team member participation (6-8) people one of which must be the principal or assistant principal) B. Release time and/or beyond school day to participate in professional development activities related to SWPBS (Approximately 4-5 days during the school year) C. Participation in regularly scheduled (minimum monthly) School Leadership team meetings\ D. Schools will use school-level data to make decisions E. Demonstrate consolidated use of funding sources to support initiative (e.g., Titles I, 11, IV, V, IDEA, LaSig, etc)
SCHOOL LEVEL COMMITMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS 1) Leadership team to guide effort in SWPBS A. Team meets regularly B. Participation in 2 days of initial training C. Criteria for Team Selection -Administrator -School Psychologist, Behavior Specialist, Safe & Drug Free School Coordinator -School Guidance Counselor -Strong Representation across grade levels -Maximum of eight team members -Eventually, Parent representation -Eventually, Student representation D. Participate in select and targeted SWPBS professional development activities -Allow outcomes to be presented to state/national audiences -Link with LA state-level planning team to guide state-level activities E.Commit personnel to input and interpret data F.Use data to drive decisions G.Share school wide discipline data with State School Wide Positive Behavior Support Team
